Eclipse Creative Returns to The Memorial Tournament: 50 Years of Celebrating Excellence
The course buzzes with excitement each June when the world’s best golfers descend on Muirfield Village Golf Club for The Memorial Tournament. But long before the first tee shot rings out, a different kind of team is hard at work transforming the grounds into a celebration of championship golf and community pride. This year, we had the incredible honor of returning to partner on this iconic PGA Tour event.
Being part of The Memorial Tournament’s 50th anniversary celebration for another year was an incredibly special experience for our team at Eclipse Creative. This tournament, founded by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, carries a legacy of excellence that extends far beyond the fairways. We were honored by the opportunity to create memorable installations that capture the history, prestige, and excitement of this half-century moment.
What made this year particularly rewarding was the scope and complexity of the work. From the moment we kicked off planning through the final installation, we had teams across all of our different divisions collaborating, problem-solving, and pulling together to ensure every element was executed flawlessly.
The installations below showcase what we created for The Memorial Tournament’s 50th anniversary. From the 50th anniversary logos to the 14th hole walls, each project reflects our commitment to creativity, precision, and collaboration.
The 50th Anniversary Logos: Celebrating Half a Century
When you’re marking 50 years of an iconic tournament, the branding needs to be bold, visible, and impossible to miss. We created and installed stunning 50th anniversary logos at some of the most prominent locations around Dublin and beyond.

Travelers arriving in Columbus were greeted by the striking 50th anniversary logo at the airport. It was a welcoming statement that said, “You’re entering golf’s most prestigious weekend.” This installation needed to be eye-catching from a distance while maintaining the refined aesthetic that The Memorial Tournament deserves. From design through execution, our team ensured this beacon of celebration was perfectly positioned and flawlessly installed.
Dublin Bridge Park: Creating a Landmark Moment
Bridge Park in Dublin has become a vibrant destination for entertainment, dining, and community gathering, making it the perfect location for a major installation of the 50th anniversary branding. The space’s prominence and foot traffic made it an ideal canvas for celebrating this milestone. It was here that we had the opportunity to think big, literally.

We created super-sized 3D golf balls that became instant landmarks within the park. These dimensional, eye-catching installations celebrated both the sport and the milestone in a way that felt playful yet sophisticated. Combined with the 50th anniversary logos and flags throughout the space, Bridge Park transformed into a vibrant hub of celebration for spectators and community members alike.
Maker’s Mark Scrim Banners: Premium Branding at Memorial Terrace Bar
The Memorial Terrace Bar is where the energy of The Memorial Tournament comes alive as spectators gather, celebrate, and soak in the atmosphere of championship golf. This space demanded premium branding that spoke to quality and sophistication.
We created and installed elegant Maker’s Mark scrim banners that transformed the terrace bar into a branded experience. Scrims are a sophisticated choice for outdoor spaces: they maintain visibility while creating a refined backdrop that complements the upscale nature of the venue. The banners needed to be durable enough to withstand the elements while maintaining their visual impact throughout the tournament week.

The placement of these banners was strategic. They created visual continuity while drawing attendees’ eyes to the premium experience being offered. Working with our production and installation teams, we ensured every banner was hung with precision, creating a seamless branded environment.
The 14th Hole Walls: Transforming the Course
The 14th hole at Muirfield Village is part of the tournament experience that spectators look forward to. We had the privilege of handling four walls, a significant undertaking that required precision, coordination, and deep understanding of the tournament’s aesthetic.
These installations weren’t just meant to be functional; they needed to enhance the spectator experience and integrate seamlessly with the course’s natural beauty and championship atmosphere. Our team managed every aspect of this installation, from design approval through final installation. Working with a deadline and the need for perfection, we ensured that all four walls were executed flawlessly.
The walls needed to withstand not just the elements, but the high standards of a world-class tournament. Every detail mattered. Every installation needed to reflect the quality that The Memorial Tournament is known for.

Street Graphics: Bringing the Celebration to the Community
Golf courses don’t exist in a vacuum. They’re part of thriving communities, and The Memorial Tournament is woven into the fabric of Dublin. We extended our installations beyond the course and major venues by creating and installing street graphics throughout the area.
These graphics served multiple purposes: they provided wayfinding for spectators, helped build community excitement, and transformed public spaces into celebrations of this milestone moment. From design through production and installation, our team ensured that every street graphic was positioned perfectly and maintained the visual consistency of the overall campaign.

The street graphics had to balance several considerations: visibility and impact, respectful integration into the community landscape, durability throughout tournament week, and coordination with all the other installations happening simultaneously around Dublin.
The Power of Unified Collaboration
If there’s one thing that stands out most to us about this project, it’s not any single installation. It’s the team effort that brought it all together.
We came into this project knowing that the 50th anniversary of The Memorial Tournament deserved our very best. That meant bringing together our best talent across multiple divisions. The people who typically work in different departments found themselves collaborating, sharing expertise, and working toward a common goal. Everyone had a role to play, and everyone showed up as their very best self.
This kind of cross-divisional collaboration is something we’re genuinely proud of. It speaks to the depth of talent we have at Eclipse Creative and the culture we’ve built around excellence and teamwork. When a project is this important and this visible, there’s no room for silos or assumptions. Everyone steps up.
The payoff? A cohesive, comprehensive celebration of The Memorial Tournament’s 50th anniversary that exceeded expectations and delivered an incredible experience for tournament attendees and the Dublin community alike.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
Working on The Memorial Tournament is always special. There’s something about being part of an event with this level of prestige and tradition that brings out the best in our teams. The fact that we returned for another year, and tackled an even larger scope of work, is a testament to the relationships we’ve built and the trust that our partners place in us.
The golf world will focus on the championship competition, the athletes, the moments of brilliance on the fairways. But we know that the stage for those moments includes the installations, the branding, the visual experiences that make The Memorial Tournament feel like the world-class event it is.
It was a huge honor to contribute to that experience. And it was an even greater honor to do it with a team that showed up ready to collaborate, create, and deliver at the highest level.
Here’s to 50 years of The Memorial Tournament, and to playing our part in making it unforgettable!
